Split → Orebić

Orebić sits at the southern tip of the Pelješac peninsula, directly across a narrow channel from Korčula island. It’s the gateway to some of Croatia’s finest wine country — the south-facing slopes of Pelješac produce Dingač and Postup, two of the country’s most celebrated red wines. Getting there by private speedboat from Split is both faster and far more enjoyable than the alternative drive.

Our route south from Split follows the island chain down the coast — passing the outer edges of Brač and Hvar before entering the deeper blue of the Pelješac channel. The crossing takes around 2 hours 40 minutes and covers some of the most beautiful open water on the Adriatic. We arrive at Orebić harbour, where the mountain backdrop of Sveti Ilija rises directly above the waterfront.

From Orebić, Korčula Town is a 15-minute passenger ferry ride across the channel — one of the shortest and most picturesque crossings on the coast. Whether you’re heading into the peninsula for wine, continuing to Korčula, or simply using Orebić as a base, this transfer sets you up directly.
