About this route
Dubrovnik → Makarska
Departing from Dubrovnik’s Old Harbour — the historic port carved directly into the rock beneath the medieval walls — this transfer heads north along the coast in around 3 hours 45 minutes, arriving at Makarska harbour on the Riviera. It’s the sea route that mirrors the coastal road, but without the summer traffic or the border crossing at Neum.
The route follows the outer edge of the Pelješac channel north, the long spine of the peninsula to the east. The sea opens up as you clear the Neretva delta and the Makarska Riviera comes into view — the Biokovo massif rising sharply from the water’s edge, the town of Makarska at its base.
This transfer is most commonly used by guests beginning a Riviera stay after a few days in Dubrovnik, or those relocating between the two cities as part of a longer Croatian itinerary. Optional stops at Korčula Town or Pelješac wine villages can be added for those who want to break the journey. Every transfer is private: your group, your boat, departing the Old Harbour when it suits you.
